: Ouarzazate
Moroccan city recently out of the ground, its origins go back only in the twentieth century, yet much remains Ouarzazate tourism. Known as the "gateway to the desert" with its close proximity to the great outdoors of Saharan Africa, it has a privileged location.
It is located southeast of the country, between Marrakech and Agadir on a dry and close to the mountains of the High Atlas plateau. Through its international airport the city has grown considerably over the last twenty years, clubs and hotels are quite recent, they offer high quality services and the services are generally large. The city itself is not a major tourist attraction, apart from some monuments, for it is against the beautiful region around which attracts many visitors. Ouarzazate is indeed an ideal place for excursions.
Besides, the hotels offer all the possibilities of holiday 4x4 guided, bus outings, trekking or multi-day tours. Hiking enthusiasts will be thrilled, because here the beautiful landscapes unfold peacefully, but continuously. It's a real feast for the eyes and mind. The area known as the "1000 Kasbah" is impressive Kasbah two are also listed as World Heritage by UNESCO: that of Ait Ben Haddou and Taourirt located about thirty kilometers from the city.
Not to be missed. Get caught and guide the footsteps of caravans Berber in the Draa Valley, it stretches almost 200 km and is dotted with Oasis and villages, impressions are magical and the scenery is guaranteed. Other excursions are possible to Dades gorges or to the fabulous Todra canyon. Located about 1200 m altitude, winters can be cool although the climate is Saharan, the best times are fall and spring.
