:London
London is a city that is so close to home and accessible as I've always said I would have all the time in the world to visit. So, I had never set foot until I finally decided to cross the Channel. It was an opportunity for me to visit London and finally to travel by bus (8 hours ride). If I took the bus that's because I found a good promotion on iDBUS € 40 Paris-London and I traveled at night to avoid paying for a hotel. It was also an opportunity for me to test the services of iDBUS, the new transport service for passenger from the train, maybe I'd do a more complete article about them in the coming days or weeks.
So back on topic
London is a big city, so hard not to take public transport, it is therefore a great pleasure to take the big red double-decker bus. So take line 15 is the one that has the most old bus. I like to take the bus and get off when I see something interesting. This line takes you directly to the London Tower Bridge, one of the great symbols of London.
What to see in London?
Difficult to focus on local as there was not much, so let's focus on the monuments:
The parliament (houses of parliament and Big Ben)
Featured in London, the symbol of England.
The London Tower Bridge :
Ditto another symbol of London.
Greenwich and the line that divides East and West meridians :
Greenwich line divides the east and west meridian. You can as well, just for a moment, have one foot on the meridian west and the other is on the meridian. I learned the meaning of the abbreviation "GMT" which means "Greenwich Mean Time" which is the mean solar time of the meridian of Greenwich.
The National Gallery :
As you know, I do not like to lock myself in museums when traveling. But I was convinced by the price of admission: 0 €! So I went there anyway to make a visit. Ok it was really small, on the order of 15 minutes.
London eye :
London eye, the eye of French in London, is a great tourist wheel located near Big Ben. If it is very nice to see, especially at night, I am not amused to queue for a ride. Especially apparently it would be super expensive.
